Protection Training
At Black Ice Working Dogs, our Protection Dog Training Program develops confident, stable, and reliable protection dogs through balanced, controlled training methods. We focus on obedience, impulse control, and proper drive development to ensure each dog is powerful yet clear-headed — capable of protecting when needed and remaining calm, social, and safe in everyday situations.
Our training is tailored for German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, and other working-line breeds, producing dogs that are both dependable guardians and trusted family companions. Each dog is trained to respond with precision, control, and confidence in real-world protection scenarios.
Django
Django is a three year old German Shepherd who is trained to protect his owners grandmother who is legally blind as well and protect their families 10 acre property. The ability to do two jobs of this level of skill and rigor shows the importance of a solid foundation and consistency.
Jaxx
Jaxx is a five year old German Shepherd who is currently in our protection training program. His owner noticed a massive difference in Jaxx. His confidence and his obedience was strengthened in the process as well.
